📋 Course Requirements

• Active Lap/Wave 2 Instructor certification (or equivalent)

• Minimum 1 year teaching experience as Lap/Wave 2 Instructor

• At least 50 certifications (or 100 if combining certifications from other agencies)

Theory Covered

• Teaching Mouthfill equalization

• FRC diving instruction

• Advanced mental techniques

​

Passing Requirements

• Attend classroom sessions

• Pass final exam, one dry skill, one confined water skill, two open water skills

​

🐬 Performance Requirements

Pool

• STA 4’30”

• DNF 75m

• DYNB 110m

​

Open Water

• ✅ CWTB – 50m / 164ft (comfortable, controlled, 100–110 sec)

• ✅ CNF – 35m / 115ft

• ✅ 20m Stand-by Rescue – 1 min

• ✅ Blackout Rescue – 30m with 50m tow + rescue breaths

• ✅ CO₂ Dive – 1 min vertical finning + 25m CWT dive
